The McGill Series
"Nothing says Montreal like McGill."
The McGill series aims to capture the magnificence of an institution that has become synonymous with Montreal itself, while at the same time offering glimpses into the lives of students.
The paintings—36 in total—are compositions first, architectural renderings second. As human studies, they suggest stories of everyday subjects living everyday lives. Subtle characteristics and gestures are offered to capture the unfolding of evocative moments.
Crossing all four seasons, the paintings feature popular sites from McGill’s main campus.
