"Stewart Hall" Demo
Painting on location, on a cool summer morning, I had to work quickly because the light was changing rapidly. For this reason, there was no preliminary drawing and I worked directly on the watercolour paper. As a medium I feel that watercolour is best suited for this spontaneous, sketchy approach where there is a minimum of overpainting and/or correcting.
