Sample 2 Day Oil Workshop (5 day workshops also available)

Day 1

9:30- 4:30

9:30-11:00 : Demonstration of a small value study in pencil, followed by a small (6”x 8”) oil sketch (from a photo)

11:00-12:30 : The class paints small oil sketches from photos they have brought, while I give individual instruction at their easels (each student should do 2-6 oil sketches in the day)

12:30-1:15 : Lunch

1:15-3:45 : The class resumes painting small oil sketches, with individual instruction

3:45-4:30 : Class critique

Day 2

9:30-4:30

9:30-11:00 : Demonstration of  a larger oil (roughly 11”x 14”, from a photo)

11:00-12:30 : The class paints a larger oil, with individual instruction

12:30-1:15 : Lunch

1:15-3:45 : The class resumes work on the larger oil (only 1 painting will be done), with individual instruction

3:45-4:30 : Class critique
